An Introduction to AUSSIE ROOTS

This is one of those genres I’ve had a thing for ever since I was a kid. And I didn’t even realise. I started listening to The John Butler Trio again the other day, and I remembered a time where all I listened to were Roots artists and albums that began to define my teenage years. That and of course emo/hardcore music — but I digress. So, with that thought in mind, I began to sit down and collect all the Aussie Roots artists that I knew, and try to find what separated them from their overseas contemporaries. Or at least just sit down and give you 5 albums to introduce you to the genre.

Today I give you an Introduction to Aussie Roots with 5 albums that I think best sum up the genre.
